Hikes include Rock Creek and White Canyon, as well as hikes on the Uintah/Ouray Indian Reservation Trust with pre-approved permits which can be obtained from the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Ft. Duchesne, Utah.
In the spring, cool temperatures can be expected, while in the summer the weather can be extremely hot with occasional thunderstorms. If you plan on doing a little fishing along the way, catfish can be caught in the river and trout can be found in the creeks. Wildlife you may see along the way include deer, Bighorn sheep, and a large variety of birds. Recommended water levels are 2,000 - 30,000 cfs with raft sizes between 14' to 30'.
